Police have charged a Senegalese man with murder for allegedly stabbing to death a H&M bureau staff during a violent robbery last Friday.

Haruna Tine was arrested following the brutal attack as he attempted to commit suicide. 

The victim was identified as Fatoumatta Kargbo. 

Police added that alleged killer will appear in court during the week. 

He is now discharged from hospital where he was receiving treatment for his self-inflicted wounds. 

The violent incident has caused alarm among Gambians and residents who said they are losing faith in the security of the country amid the rise in killings.
