Police have arrested and charged 111 people among them school going boys and girls for car stunting.

Police charged the arrested people with four counts of common nuisance, idle and disorderly behaviour, obstructing a police and assaulting a police officer. 

“They consist of 41 boys and 70 girls, consisting both students and non-students on Friday, November 10, 2023, at Iceland near Kairaba traffic lights for engaging in car stunting/drifting on public roads. 

“Most of the students arrested are from the following schools: Kairaba Senior Secondary School, Bakoteh Upper Basic School, WAIS, St. Therese’s, Methods Academy, Gambia Senior Secondary School, Muslim High School, WAST, PIA, Glory Baptist, Sheikh Mass Kah, Gravil, BS, Yunus, Charles Fawli, Kanifing East, Etc,” police said.

Police added that they are scheduled to appear before a competent court on Monday.
