The late Inspector General of The Gambia Police, Alhaji Mamour Jobe, will be laid to rest on Sunday. 

The police chief passed away this afternoon at the Edward Francis Small Teaching Hospital in Banjul following a short illness. 

“He will be laid to rest tomorrow the 14th March 2021 at 14:00hrs at Sinchu Alagie. May his gentle soul rest in perfect peace. Amen,” police said in a short statement. 

His sudden death has shocked the nation and many Gambians have taken to social media to pay their tribute to the veteran police officer. Many praised him as one of the country’s finest police officers.
