Police have dispersed a Pro-Jammeh APRC gathering with teargas in Talinding on Sunday night.

The group who calls themselves ‘APRC No To Alliance’ was holding a fundraising event at Buffer Zone.

They have been in loggerhead with Fabakary Tomong Jatta-led APRC who have backed President Adama Barrow’s reelection.

Jerending Sanyang, spokesman for the breakaway APRC group, told Gambianathat riot police stormed their event and fired teargas canisters at them.

“The paramilitary police deployed tear gas, resulting in injuries to some individuals who were then apprehended by the police,” Sanyang said.

He added that some of their members have been summoned for questioning at the Bundung Police Station.
