Police have launched a full investigation following an alleged shooting incident at Envy Night Club in Fajara on Monday.

According to the Gambia Police Force, the incident resulted in one person sustaining injuries, and the victim is currently receiving medical treatment at Kanifing General Hospital.

Authorities say the quick response helped secure the scene and prevent further escalation.

Officers from the Kairaba Police Station were first on the scene, cordoning off the area and gathering evidence.

The police have begun interviewing witnesses, club staff, and patrons to piece together the events leading up to the shooting.

The Gambia Police Force emphasized that the matter is being treated with the utmost seriousness, and all necessary measures are being taken to ensure public safety.

They are appealing to anyone with information about the incident to come forward to assist the investigation.

No arrests have been made so far, and the police have promised to keep the public updated as investigations progress.
