The Gambia Police Force is appealing to the public for assistance in identifying an elderly man who was involved in a road traffic accident on Saturday night near Kaw Junction.

According to police, the incident occurred around 8:30pm on 8 November 2025 and involved a Toyota commercial van (registration KM 8849 C) driven by 27-year-old Kawsu Gaye of Faji Kunda and an unidentified pedestrian.

The victim, who police say appears disoriented and unable to provide his identity, sustained non-life-threatening injuries. He is currently receiving treatment at Ndemban Clinic and is reported to be recovering well.

Police say the driver is cooperating with investigators, and all procedures are being followed in line with the ongoing investigation. The Gambia Police Force thanked the public for its cooperation and urged continued support in promoting road safety.
