The Gambia Police Force has appealed to the public for help in identifying a man who died in a fatal road accident along the Jabang Highway on Wednesday, October 15, 2025.

According to police reports, the unidentified pedestrian was walking along the highway when he was hit by a fuel tanker with registration number BJL 1699 F.

He was rushed to Ndemban Hospital, where he was pronounced dead shortly after arrival.

The driver of the vehicle has been taken into custody and is cooperating with investigators.

Police are urging anyone with information that could help identify the deceased to contact 3600835 or 9968885, or report to the nearest police station.
