
President Adama Barrow has effected key changes in his cabinet, effective immediately.
Baboucar Ousmaila Joof, formerly Minister of Trade, Industry, Regional Integration and Employment, has been reassigned to the Ministry of Defence.
Mr. Modou Ceesay, previously Auditor General, has been appointed as the new Minister of Trade, Industry, Regional Integration and Employment.
In a related development, Mr. Amadou Sowe, Director of Internal Audit, has been appointed Auditor General, while Mr. Masireh K. Drammeh has been made Acting Director of Internal Audit.
According to a State House statement, the changes reflect the president’s ongoing effort to strengthen governance and improve administrative efficiency across key government offices.
