President Adama Barrow has shut down speculation about his spiritual guidance, declaring in Jambur Village that his marabout is God.
Speaking during the inauguration of a mosque he personally financed, Barrow addressed recent newspaper reports questioning who guides him.
“If your marabout is God, you have nothing to doubt,” he told a crowd, drawing applause and nods from local residents.
The President’s remarks came as he joined the community to officially open the mosque, a project funded from his personal resources.
Mr Barrow said the mosque reflects his commitment to supporting religious initiatives and community development projects across the country.
During his address, he encouraged citizens to maintain strong belief in God, highlighting the role of faith in personal and communal success.
Local leaders and religious figures present at the inauguration praised the President for his gesture, emphasizing the impact of his personal contribution to the mosque’s construction.
