Real de Banjul FC came from a goal down to secure a 2-1 victory over Brikama United FC at the Box Bar Mini Stadium.

Brikama United made a bright start and were rewarded just before the interval when Dembo Danjo finished off a well-worked move to give the Satayba Boys a deserved lead at the break. The hosts could have increased their advantage, but striker Lamin Touray was unable to capitalize on a number of clear-cut chances.

The defending champions responded after the restart and drew level in the 57th minute, with Makaira Tambedou rising highest to power home a thumping header from a cross.

As the contest appeared to be heading for a draw, Sidiki Jawara delivered a decisive moment in stoppage time. The Real de Banjul defender struck directly from a corner, beating a crowded Brikama United defense and the goalkeeper at the near post to snatch all three points.

Elsewhere, Greater Tomorrow FC edged TMT FC 1-0, with Bully Drammeh providing the assist for Ebrima Manneh’s match-winning goal.

In another fixture, Fortune FC took the lead through Alieu Gibba, but Ismaila Manneh later restored parity to ensure the points were shared.
