The fight for survival in the GFF Division One League is reaching a critical stage as the bottom teams remain separated by just a few points after 20 matches.

From 12th to 16th position, the gap is only three points, with Team Rhino FC on 22 points while Steve Biko FC, Samger FC, TMT FC and Greater Tomorrow FC are all tied on 19 points. The tight standings mean the relegation battle is wide open, with every result now carrying huge significance.

Team Rhino hold a slight advantage but are far from safe, as inconsistent performances continue to keep them within reach of the drop zone. Steve Biko and Samger have shown glimpses of competitiveness but have struggled to turn draws into victories.

TMT FC’s lack of goals remains a major concern, with their attacking struggles threatening their survival hopes, while Greater Tomorrow FC face the biggest challenge, having the worst goal difference and a poor run of form.

With momentum, goal difference and consistency likely to decide the outcome, the battle to avoid relegation is expected to go down to the final weeks of the season.

As the league enters its decisive phase, the pressure continues to mount on the teams at the bottom, with survival now the only objective.
