Rohey Malick Lowe has been re-elected in a landslide election victory against her opponent Ebou Faye.

Ms Lowe will now run the affairs of the city as elected mayor under the ticket of the opposition United Democratic Party, after defeating the ruling National People’s Party candidate Ebou Faye.

Alieu Momar Njai, chairman of the Independent Electoral Commission announced that Ms Lowe polled a convincing margin results of 8,299 votes while her main contender Mr Faye secured 6, 992 votes.
