The Senegalese Ministry of Health has  reported 35 new positive cases of coronavirus bringing the total to 442, with 6 deaths, 164 patients under treatment and 235 recovery. 

Senegal is one of the African countries most affected by coronavirus. The first confirmed case of the coronavirus in the country was reported on March 2. 

Twenty days later, President Macky Sall declared a state of emergency and nationwide lockdown. A curfew is in place, and anyone taking a bus, or entering a shop or government building is required to wear a face mask.
