The Gambia State guards commander, colonel Abdoulie Mboob, will be laid to rest on Tuesday at the Jeshwang cemetery. 

Colonel Mboob passed away on Saturday after a brief illness.

“The Chief of Defence Staff Gambia Armed Forces, the Deputy Chief of Defence Staff, the Commander Gambia National Army, the Executive Officer, Gambia Navy, General Officers, Men and Women of the Gambia Armed Forces informs the public that the late Colonel Abdoulie Mboob of the State Guards Battalion will be laid to rest on Tuesday 28 May 24 at the Jeshwang cemetery at 1700 hrs,” the Gambia Armed Forces said.

GAF added that the funeral prayers will be held at the King Fahad Mosque in Banjul while other funeral rites and condolences could be paid at the family house in Fajara.
