TMT Football Club have officially parted ways with Head Coach Alieu Colley and Technical Trainer John Bass from the first team with immediate effect, the club confirmed in a statement released by management.
“TMT Football Club confirms that Head Coach Alieu Colley and Technical Trainer John Bass have been relieved of their duties with the Senior Male Team, effective immediately,” the statement read, with the club also thanking both men for their “service, commitment and contributions” and wishing them well.
The club further noted that it “will not be making any further comments at this time,” adding that “an announcement regarding the appointment of a new Head Coach will be made in due course.”
The decision comes amid a difficult campaign for TMT FC in the Gambia Football Federation Division One. The side has managed just four wins, alongside seven draws and eight defeats, leaving them languishing in the relegation play-off zone, third from bottom.
With pressure mounting and results failing to improve, the club has opted for a managerial change as they look to steer away from the drop and revive their season.
