Vice President Mohammed B.S. Jallow has held talks with the European Union Corporate Council on Africa and the Middle East on opportunities to strengthen partnerships and support The Gambia’s development priorities.

The meeting took place at The Gambia’s Permanent Mission to the United Nations in New York, on the sidelines of the 81st Session of the United Nations General Assembly.

Discussions focused on health, housing and electricity, with both sides exploring opportunities for investment and collaboration in the key sectors.

The engagement forms part of The Gambia’s diplomatic efforts to build strategic partnerships that can support national development and improve the delivery of essential services.

The Vice President’s meeting also highlighted the importance of cooperation in addressing infrastructure and public service needs, while seeking opportunities to improve living conditions for Gambians.

The discussions come as The Gambia continues its engagements with international partners during the UN General Assembly, using the global gathering to advance cooperation on issues central to the country’s development agenda.
