Gambian international Yankuba Minteh has once again demonstrated his commitment to grassroots football by donating sports equipment to his former school, Bakoteh Upper and Senior Secondary School.
The donation included two jerseys, six footballs and a set of training cones, items that will help support the school’s football programme and nurture young talent.

The gesture was warmly received by both the school administration and students, who continue to take pride in Minteh’s remarkable journey from their classrooms and playing fields to the international stage.
Yankuba Minteh remains a celebrated figure at the school, where he made a lasting impact as a student-athlete. During his time there, he helped guide the school’s football team to a runners-up finish in the National Football Championship for Senior Secondary Schools, a memorable achievement that is still remembered by many.

Members of the school’s Sports Department praised the winger for his unwavering support over the years.
Beyond this latest donation, Minteh has reportedly provided match bonuses to players on several occasions, reflecting his desire to see the school continue producing talented footballers.
