Former Gambia U-17 forward Francis Gomez inspired Sibanor United to a resounding 4-0 victory over Wallidan FC, producing a sensational hat-trick to end the club’s three-match losing streak.

The 17-year-old wonderkid wasted no time making his presence felt on his return from Denmark, where he recently completed a professional development stint with AC Horsens.

Sibanor United had suffered defeats in their previous three outings, but their young talisman stepped up in style, netting three times to revive the team’s promotion hopes to the pinnacle of Gambian football.

Fondly known as “Fra,” Gomez is enjoying a remarkable season, having now registered six goals and two assists in just seven matches for Sibanor United in the Second Division.
