Stockport County have completed the signing of Gambian striker Adama Sidibeh from Scottish Championship side St Johnstone FC on a two-and-a-half-year contract, bolstering their attacking options for the second half of the season.
Sidibeh is available for selection tonight as the Hatters face Blackpool FC in a League One fixture, with the forward expected to add pace and intensity to County’s frontline.
Speaking on the acquisition, Jonathan Smith, a senior member of Stockport County’s recruitment and scouting team, highlighted the qualities that attracted the club to the Gambian international.
“Adama brings exceptional pace, an outstanding work ethic, and a real intensity that gives defenders no time to settle. Those qualities align perfectly with how we want our teams to play.
The move marks a new chapter for Sidibeh as he steps into English League One, with Stockport County continuing to strengthen their squad in pursuit of their season objectives.
