The Gambia Football Federation Women’s First Division champions, Berewuleng Women’s Football Club, have been drawn against their opponents for the CAF Women’s Champions League WAFU A Qualifiers, which will be hosted in The Gambia later this month.
The newly crowned Gambian champions have been drawn in Group B alongside Guinea’s AS Bolonta and Sierra Leone’s Mogbwemo Queens FC in what promises to be a highly competitive group.
Group A comprises USFAS of Mali, Aigles de la Médina of Senegal and Determine Girls FC of Liberia.
The WAFU A Qualifiers will kick off on 25th August in The Gambia, with six champion clubs from across the West African zone battling for the region’s sole qualification spot at the CAF Women’s Champions League.
Berewuleng will aim to build on their recent domestic success after retaining the GFF Women’s First Division title and will now have the opportunity to represent The Gambia on the continental stage in front of their home supporters.
