Brikama United claimed a hard-fought 2-1 victory over Hawks FC at Box Bar, thanks to goals from Samba Jatta and Abubacarr Jarjue.

The Sateyba Boys took the lead in the 50th minute when Samba Jatta blasted home after Hawks FC failed to clear a corner. Hawks FC responded in the 62nd minute through Omar Jammeh, who curled a delightful left-footed strike from outside the 18-yard box to restore parity.

The winner came in the 85th minute as Abubacarr Jarjue capitalized on a goalmouth scramble, blasting the ball into the net after Hawks FC blocked several attempts. Despite late pressure and a near miss from Dembo Danjo in stoppage time, Brikama United held on to secure all three points.

The victory keeps Brikama United buzzing after last week’s derby triumph, with the Sateyba Boys showing resilience and attacking flair in front of their home fans.

Elsewhere in the League, Samger FC caused a major upset by defeating league leaders Gambia Ports Authority FC 2-0, claiming a vital three points.

Meanwhile, Real De Banjul secured a hard-fought 1-0 victory over Hart FC in Jarra Soma, thanks to Omar Johm’s decisive goal following a clever spell of possession from the defending champions.
