Buba Bayo made history for The Gambia by clinching a Gold medal in the Boys’ 100m event at the inaugural ANOCA African School Games in Algeria.

Bayo blazed from the blocks to finish in an impressive time of 10.72 seconds, securing The Gambia’s first-ever Gold at the continental school games.

Meanwhile, his compatriot Amadou Sabally also delivered a strong performance, claiming the Bronze medal with a time of 10.90 seconds.

The remarkable feat marks a significant milestone for Gambian athletics on the African stage, inspiring hope for the country’s future in track and field.
