Ousainou Darboe, leader of the opposition United Democratic Party, has challenged President Adama Barrow to disclose business tycoons who built his party bureaus.

Darboe made the call during the opening of a UDP political bureau in Kiang Kwinella as he was accompanied by dozens of party top brass and supporters.

Speaking at the ceremony, Lawyer Darboe said: “we agree that our bureaus resemble Narr shops. We do because there is success in Narr shops. And these bureaus are built by farmers and people in the Diaspora who made their money in a clean way and not through corruption.

“I challenge President Adama Barrow to disclose the names of the businessmen who built the (NPP) Bansang bureau and how much each of them contributed.  If you don’t do that we will be forced to conclude they built these bureaus in order to win government contracts.”
