Promising Gambian striker Ebou Sama has completed a permanent move from Steve Biko FC to Croatian Premier League side NK Istra 1961, signing a five year contract with the club.

The transfer was facilitated by his agent Cheno Samba, who played a key role in guiding the young forward to secure his first professional deal in Europe.

Sama rose to prominence after an impressive breakthrough season with Steve Biko’s senior team, scoring 11 goals in the 2024/2025 Gambia Football Federation Division One League. Sama’s prolific form attracted international attention and earned him a trial with English side Nottingham Forest.

The move to NK Istra 1961 marks a major step in the young striker’s career as he begins his professional journey in European football.
