Passengers and staff scrambled to safety after a stabiliser reportedly exploded at Banjul International Airport.

The cause of the explosion remains unknown.

A video shared with Gambiana shows fire trucks rushing to the scene to put out the blaze.

No injuries have been reported, but panic gripped waiting passengers and airport staff, who ran for safety.

An eyewitness told Gambiana: “a stabiliser just exploded here at the airport, causing panic. Everyone, including the passengers, ran to safety.”
