The Gambia and Senegal governments have signed six bilateral accords including commerce and agriculture.

The signing ceremony took place during the 3rd edition of presidential council meeting held in Banjul on Tuesday, August 1, 2023.

The meeting discussed plans and strategies for strengthening the country’s economy, security and social development, and it focused on The Gambia’s national development priorities, regional and international cooperation, and other topics of mutual interest

In a joint communique highlighting the six agreements read out by The Gambia’s minister of foreign affairs Dr Momodou Tangara included judicial cooperation on civil and commercial matters, bilateral air service, health and social welfare, chamber of commerce and Agriculture.
