The Gambia U-17 team has added valuable experience to its technical setup with the arrival of former Scorpions goalkeeper Modou “Toldo” Jobe in Bamako.

The ex-international, who earned 29 caps for The Gambia and appeared at two Africa Cup of Nations tournaments, has taken up the role of goalkeeping coach ahead of the WAFU-A U-17 campaign.

Jobe joined the delegation on Wednesday evening and quickly integrated with head coach Yahya Manneh’s staff.

With his years of national team service and continental experience, the former Real de Banjul shot-stopper is expected to provide a significant boost for the young goalkeepers in camp.

Toldo arrived later than the main squad, alongside FC Barcelona prospect Alieu Drammeh and Nigeria-based attacker Ahmed Njundu Kanyi.
