
Gambia’s U-18 boys beach volleyball team has booked their place at the 2025 U-18 Beach Volleyball World Championship in Qatar after a dominant straight-set victory over Egypt in the African Championship quarter-finals.
The Gambian boys defeated Egypt 2-0, sealing the sets 21-15 and 21-14 in a commanding performance that stunned one of the tournament favorites.
With this win, Gambia advances to the semi-finals and secures an automatic qualification spot for the World Championship, scheduled for October 7–11, 2025, in Qatar.
This historic achievement means Gambia will feature at the U-18 World stage in beach volleyball, underlining the country’s rapid rise in the sport.
