Gambian musician Barhama Cham escaped unhurt after his Range Rover Sport was gutted by fire in Banjul on Thursday.

The vehicle caught fire opposite the High Court shortly before midday, sending thick plumes of smoke into the air and drawing the attention of passersby and nearby workers.

Eyewitnesses said flames quickly engulfed the luxury vehicle, leaving it badly damaged before the fire was brought under control.

Cham, a popular Gambian musician known for his energetic performances and growing presence on the local music scene, was not injured in the incident.

The cause of the fire remains unknown, and no injuries have been reported. Authorities are expected to investigate.
