Hawks FC returned to winning ways with an impressive 2-0 victory over BST Galaxy in the Gambia Football Federation Division One League.
Sulayman Sawaneh opened the scoring on his full debut, giving Hawks FC a 1-0 lead at halftime after a composed first-half finish.
The hosts maintained control in the second half and doubled their advantage in the 72nd minute when Abdul Jaloll struck a brilliant free kick to seal all three points.
BST Galaxy’s frustrations were compounded late in the match as they finished with nine men following two red cards.
In other matches, Bombada FC produced a solid performance to hold defending champions Real de Banjul to a goalless draw away from home.
Gambia Ports Authority and Brikama United also shared the points in a barren draw, while Falcons FC and Gambia Dutch Lions played out another goalless encounter.
