Brighton & Hove Albion’s new number 11, Yankuba Minteh, wasted no time making his mark as he scored twice in their 2-2 preseason draw against Southampton.
The Gambian forward gave the Seagulls a first-half lead in the 25th minute with a sublime curling strike, before adding his second in the 64th minute to put Brighton firmly in control.

However, Southampton responded quickly, with Robinson pulling one back in the 69th minute and Armstrong equalising just four minutes later to level the match.
Minteh’s impressive performance will give Brighton fans plenty to be excited about ahead of the new season.
