Gambian singer One Pac has apologised to the Christian community for his “insensitive” Christmas flyer which sparked a public outrage.

The flyer which he shared on his Facebook page showed him mimicking Jesus Christ crucifixion on the cross.

The image was considered “blasphemous” by many Gambians who demanded for the singer to apologise to the Christian community.

Public outrage to the post led the singer to be dropped from an upcoming concert organised by Mamie Diarra Production after the sponsor QCELL threatened to pull the plug if the rapper is included in the show.

One Pac said he did the post to help unify the community and send his Christmas message to his Christian friends.

“I really do want to apologise especially to the Christian community and the whole world that my post of being on the cross was not meant for provocation [and] it was not meant for no disrespecting to any faith,” he said, adding “the blame and the fault are all mine.”

“I am just calling people to salvation what I think and deemed fit and just did that post to give Christmas to my Christian friends. If you are offended, I am really touched and sorry.”
