I agree with Musa Barrow that the Scorpions’ poor performance in securing the needed results in both the Africa Cup of Nations and World Cup qualifiers is mainly due to playing their home games away. He is absolutely right.
Yet, I have seen some folks lashing out at him for saying this, claiming that he only gives his best at his club in the Saudi Pro League. But what these critics fail to understand is that his club has a proper home stadium where they play their home games. So, let these people give the young man some breathing space and save their rants for us.
No genuine Gambian should defend the fact that our national teams, both senior and junior, men and women, are playing their home games away. This kind of defense is absolutely senseless. Enough of this silly justification of wrongdoing in our national affairs.

For how long should our teams continue playing their home games away? This is what I want those knuckleheaded folks attacking Musa Barrow to understand, he only spoke the truth about the team’s struggle to achieve better results, and he should not be punished for it.
The stadium debacle is a clear example that this country still has a long way to go. Had this been a nation that truly despises corruption, many heads would have rolled by now.
How many millions have been spent on this stadium’s renovation, yet everything has gone down the drain, thanks to the greedy individuals and squanderers of state resources?
And yet, you still have some people with the guts to defend these unscrupulous individuals, many of whom should have already resigned or been forced to resign and punished for the massive damage they have caused to the nation.
