BST Galaxy have confirmed that midfielder Pa Modou Sohna has completed a permanent transfer to Paide Linnameeskond, signing a two-year contract with the Estonian Premier League club.
The move marks a major step forward in Sohna’s career and underscores BST Galaxy’s reputation as a pathway for emerging Gambian talent to European football.
Speaking on the transfer, BST Galaxy CEO Bubacarr Steve Trawally described the deal as both a proud and emotional moment. He said Sohna has been close to him since his early playing days and has always regarded him as a mentor and elder brother.
Trawally praised the player’s talent and character, noting that supporting Sohna’s development was a responsibility the club embraced wholeheartedly.
He described the midfielder as one of the finest players to emerge from The Gambia in recent years, adding that his progress reflects years of hard work and belief.
The BST Galaxy CEO also reflected on the personal challenges Sohna has endured, particularly the tragic loss of his wife and unborn child.
He said the experience would have broken many, but Sohna showed remarkable resilience, faith, and determination, choosing instead to push forward and continue chasing his football dreams.
According to Trawally, Sohna’s move to Paide is not just a professional milestone, but also a testament to his strength of character and commitment to honoring the dreams he once shared with his late wife.
BST Galaxy thanked Pa Modou Sohna for his dedication, leadership, and professionalism during his time at the club, and wished him success as he begins a new chapter in European football with Paide Linnameeskond.
