Police anti-crime officers have confiscated dozens of stolen motorcycles last night during raids across the country.

The special police operation seeks to clampdown on crime and criminal hideouts in the country.

Police spokeswoman Cadet ASP Binta Njie said: “the police have confiscated and recovered more than a dozen suspected stolen motorcycles especially in borderline communities.”

She added that in the Greater Banjul Area and parts of the West Coast Region “the Anti-crime Unit recovered nine motorcycles from suspected criminal locations.”

According to her, this number excludes the additional six other motorcycles recovered last week and are safely kept at the Anti-crime Unit base in Banjulinding.
