The Gambia police have arrested four “notorious” armed robbers during a raid in the Greater Banjul Area.

Police recovered weapons including knives, scissors, and cutlasses during the raid in Kanifing Municipality and West Coast Region.

The suspects are known for their skills in breaking into people’s properties in the Greater Banjul Area.

“They have also confessed to committing break-ins in various places including Salagi, Paradise Estate, Nema, and Brusubi among others,” the police said. 

“The four suspects are all Gambian nationals who are between the ages of 18 and 19 . The suspects are now helping the police with investigations”

The police statement said the suspects were arrested around the vicinities of Bundung market and had their houses searched leading to the recovery of various dangerous weapons.
