Two others — Abdou Faal, alleged to be an accomplice, and Karamo Saidy, suspected to be the custodian of the firearm — were also taken into custody.
Crime scene investigators recovered three empty cartridges at the scene, which were processed as evidence.
Subsequent operations led to the recovery of a Taurus pistol loaded with 10 live rounds of ammunition.
All three suspects have been cautioned and are currently in police custody to assist with ongoing investigations.
