
Police have confirmed that the suspects in an ongoing online fraud investigation are Chinese nationals.
According to the Gambia Police Force, the breakthrough came with assistance from officials of the Chinese Embassy, who helped identify and verify the suspects’ nationality.

Investigators later discovered that the individuals reside in Kerr Sering.

A search of their residence uncovered a large cache of electronic equipment, including:
- 32 Android phones (Motorola and Redmi)
- 112 iPhones
- 153 desktop computers
- Two boxes containing additional desktop computers
- One flat-screen television
- One Lenovo laptop
- One safe
- Various keyboards, exercise books, computer mice, USB drives, and non-Gambian SIM cards
The GPF says investigations are ongoing.
