The Gambia Police Force has appealed for public assistance in locating 32-year-old Roheyatou Sanneh, a resident of Sinchu Beliya, who has been missing since leaving hospital earlier this month.

According to police, Roheyatou was admitted to Kanifing General Hospital on Sunday, 12 October 2025, where she gave birth the following day.

Sadly, the baby was stillborn.

Shortly after the incident, Roheyatou reportedly absconded from the hospital and has not been seen or heard from since.

Efforts to reach her or the compound head, Mr. Lamin Badjie, have so far proved unsuccessful.

The hospital confirmed that the baby’s body remains unclaimed at the mortuary.

Police are urging anyone with information about Roheyatou’s whereabouts to contact the nearest police station or call 9968885.
