Samger FC secured their first win of the GFF Division One season with a thrilling 3–1 victory over Brikama United at the Goal Project on Tuesday.

The home side took the lead just before half-time when Haruna Danso curled a stunning strike from outside the 18-yard box, leaving Brikama United goalkeeper rooted to the spot.

Brikama United responded in the 66th minute through Lamarana Jallow, who calmly finished a well-worked set piece. Jonathan Correa flicked on Baboucarr Sallah’s outswinging free kick, allowing Jallow to guide the ball into the net and restore parity.

However, Samger FC regained the advantage in the 69th minute when Gibril Nyang powered a header from a set-piece delivery into the net.

The home side sealed the win in stoppage time as Ismaila Manneh produced a spectacular left-footed strike into the top corner from open play, making it 3–1 and confirming Samger’s first victory of the season.

Brikama Derby Thrills Fans as Greater Tomorrow Edge Bombada FC

In Brikama, the local derby saw Greater Tomorrow FC claim a hard-fought 1–0 win over Bombada FC.

The decisive moment came from Amadou Nyassi, who delivered a perfectly executed free kick to secure Greater Tomorrow’s first victory of the campaign.

GPA Maintain Perfect Defensive Record Despite Goalless Draw

Elsewhere, league leaders Gambia Ports Authority FC continued their impressive form with a 0–0 draw against Real de Banjul in Basori.

The draw leaves the defending champions without a win in five matches, while GPA remain at the top of the table with 14 points and no goals conceded.
