The highly anticipated Senegambia Derby will headline the March 2026 FIFA international window as The Gambia national football team takes on cross-border rivals Senegal national football team in an international friendly in Dakar.

The match has been confirmed by the Senegalese Football Federation and is scheduled for 31st March at 19:00 GMT.

Mr. Ndiamé Diop, President of the Organization Committee of the Federation, revealed that Senegal have lined up two friendly matches during the March window.

According to the details, the Teranga Lions will first travel to Paris for a friendly against Peru before returning home to host The Gambia in Diamniadio for the second encounter.

The upcoming Senegambia Derby is expected to generate strong interest on both sides of the border, as the two neighbouring nations renew one of West Africa’s most compelling football rivalries.
