Tributes have poured in for Ndata Bobb, the Gambian woman killed in Edinburgh last Thursday.
The 43-year-old was found with severe injuries at her home by emergency services. She was rushed to hospital but died shortly afterwards.
A 55-year-old man has since been arrested and charged in connection with her death.
Friends and colleagues described Ndata as a loving and peaceful woman, with many still in shock over her sudden passing.

It emerged that Ndata was grieving the loss of her mother, who passed away recently.
Fatoumatta Trawally wrote: “So sad we met at her mum’s funeral just last month. May Allah forgive her shortcomings and grant her Jannahtul Firdaus.”
Beulah MJ Obiageli Ogoh said: “No! This is shocking. You only recently lost your mum, and sadly you’ve joined her so soon. Rest well sis. May God grant you eternal rest and watch over your children.”
Another friend, Lyndsay Currie, added: “Rest in peace beautiful lady. Prayers with your family during this tough time.”
Awa Bah Yaye Baye, a former colleague, wrote: “My sister, my friend, my niece—you did not deserve this. A very beautiful lady inside and out, loving, jovial and peaceful. Allah knows best. May Allah forgive your shortcomings and protect the children you have left behind. You will surely be missed.”
Detective Inspector Kevin Tait of Police Scotland said: “Our thoughts remain with the family and friends of Ndata at this extremely difficult time.
“Our investigation remains ongoing, however we are not looking for anyone else in connection with Ndata’s death.
“This is a shocking incident and I would urge anyone with concerns or information to contact police.”
