Police have arrested two Senegalese nationals with suspected cannabis at Brufut beach. 

According to the police in a statement, the suspects were arrested by the police intervention unit personnel while they were trying to smuggle the illegal drugs on a boat. 

“Police Intervention Unit in Brufut have arrested two individuals at Brufut beach for allegedly trying to smuggle three big bags of suspected Cannabis sativa, three and a quarter drums of fuel, and a boat engine.

“The two suspects are allegedly Senegalese nationals who are between the ages of 38 and 40. The suspects were in police custody after their arrest before they were handed over to The Drug Law Enforcement Agency, The Gambia (DLEAG),” the police statement added.
