
Vice President Mohammed B.S. Jallow will travel to Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, today, Wednesday 11 February 2026, to attend the 39th Ordinary Session of the African Union (AU) Assembly.
According to a statement from the Office of the Vice President, Mr Jallow will represent President Adama Barrow at the continental summit.
The Vice President is expected to take part in the launch of the Science, Technology and Innovation Strategy for Africa (STISA) 2034 Implementation Plan, as well as the AUDA-NEPAD 2030 EdTech Provision and Plan, scheduled for 12 February.
He will also attend the AU Assembly of Heads of State and Government from 14 to 15 February.
The statement said the Vice President will engage in discussions on key issues affecting Africa, including peace and security, economic integration and sustainable development.
Mr Jallow is expected to return to Banjul after the summit.
